Favorite Live Cover

Post by warehouse »

ive listened to this song for almost 20 years and it still completely owns me. eddie vedder may have missed his calling as an r&b singer.

or

Probably

And Eddies 98 version of trouble if that counts. Shit and the Eddie and c-average running out of time. But if we're talking strictly pearl jam, masters of war, yeah.

There's alot of daughter tags that turn songs i don't really care for into dark groovey awesomeness. And some that i do care for.

I've got to think this is one of the best performances in rock history. Dylan must have been proud to hear his words used so effectively.

You guys have hit some major highlights. I dont' have have youtube of it, but the other cover I put up there with Dock of the Bay (94), Masters of War (92)and Don't Be Shy (98) is I Won't Back Down from Florida 1994. His voice was perfect.

Ain't Talking About Love in Hartford ('10) was unexpected & fun but Timeless Melody beats it.

I went through a huge La's phase in the late 90's, so I was thrilled when I saw they started covering this in 2000. It's shame it didn't become a more regular thing. I like when they tackle songs outside of the classic rock/first wave punk standards.

I picked this one because the video was better but I'm pretty sure they've done this at full band shows.

Even though it's a Dylan song, for me, that's the quintessential version of Masters Of War.

Act of Love was pretty sweet. Not sure if that qualifies as a cover though.
