Al Franken posted a long discussion about how Manafort not breaking has more to do with his allegiance to the Russians, which is more frightening than anything. i believe he was trying to state that the fear of Russian retaliation to him and his family are far worse things for him to deal with than spending the rest of his old life in prison.

I am less concerned with Manafort’s decision not to take a deal, or his reasons for doing so, than with the fact that the president is basically announcing his own guilt (again) with that tweet and his party could not give a fuck. Hell, they chanted “lock her up” at last night’s rally. Deplorable.
