So is Ed’s vocal and guitar on this actually taken from the Atlanta 94 performance?

The answer will shock us

I’d be ok if they retired this song for a decade or so

Not quite.

Apologies if I can't remember the precise details, but the first portion of the song is 100% a studio recording (the full version of which is on the Vitalogy reissue). From when the band kicks in, it's mostly from Atlanta with some studio overdubs.

The basic track (from when the band comes in) is definitely the same recording; Dave's drums, Mike's guitar, etc.

I think the main studio additions are some overdubbed acoustic guitar and percussion things.
