I watched the Bruce Willis roast off dvr last night. It was not bad as far as celebrity roasts go. Jeff Ross killed as usual but Ed Norton's bit was surprisingly strong too. Willis' rebuttal at the end was pretty good and there was some funny jokes here & there from the others on the panel. Cybil Shepard is looking old and Dom Imera is looking old and has put on some weight too. Demi Moore did a brief walkout that was okay, with a few good lines, but she seemed spaced out.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. Dark Tourist on Netflix. The footage in Ashgabat is fucking nuts. Surreal. I’ve never seen the egomania of a tyrannical dictator rendered so metaphorically vivid. Crazy.

Watched the first episode of Matt Groening's new show Disenchantment. A couple good jokes, but generally very bad

very late to the game on this one, but my wife and i started watching fargo. only five episodes in, but it's really well done. the casting is pretty solid. i've always like martin freeman, since i first saw him in the office, and i love the dynamic between adam goldberg and russell harvard. like, they want to be badass, but they never seem to manage it.

Other than everyone saying it was really good, nothing about Succession really appealed to me. But I am two eps in and it is pretty great. Very into it, and kind of surprised about that

First two of 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel'

It is marvelous.
