So there was a small ticket release, but instead of going to the public site, the 10 club members got access to it?

10 clubbers shouldn't be pissed about that (but I assume they will be anyway).

something weird is going on with how they're doing 10C seating now. My seats for both nights at Wrigley were by far the worst I've ever had.

It’s such a drawback to liking the band, having to be associated with this.

i always get shit seats with 10c, by 10c standards. as strat pointed out to me, you're still closer to the stage than 85% of the crowd. but what pissed me off about my seattle seats is that, on night 1, we sat next to a couple who flew in from North Carolina (versus us being local, with a local billing address), and had been in the 10c for 3 years (versus me being in it since 1997). and they sat right next to us. i was happy to be there in the end, but for a few minutes there (and thinking about it now), it just rubbed me the wrong way.

doesn't seem so hard to prioritize billing address or seniority first? maybe they do, but all i know is that every time i get tix here, i get hosed.

Agreed. I thought this was a nice gesture.

Seniority yes, location no. So far this year and in 2016 my seats tended to get buried in with the "guests", which to me suggests there are a ton more of those now which could be changing where we sit relative to 2014 and earlier. Still some of the best seats in the house, so zero complaints here.

Speaking of seats, I found out where I am sitting: right near the Pesky pole. I had dreams about my friend winning the front row lottery, but these seats are fine and have quick access to both the concourse/bathrooms and one of the main Fenway gates.

Although last time I thought it would be an advantage along those lines being near the little concourse tucked into the bottom level near 3B/homeplate, but it turns out that was an access point for field seats so it was all jammed up. I wonder where the RF side access to field seats is.

we were on the field in seattle, and got up the stairs to the concourse to the side of the stage during Ledbetter and watched the song from there. it was the best idea we ever had

Anyone who was in the 10C and wanted to go to this show had tickets by now, I’d be pissed that they are selling field tickets now instead of upgrading those of us in the balcony behind home plate into those seats.

10 years ago at Great Woods, my friend wanted to leave when the last song started but it was Alive so we didn't know it was the last song until it was over. We got separated and then I drunkenly rambled around the parking lot for a while trying to find his car.

I dont think you could do that with the digital ticket system. I've already transferred tickets to others...

Yeah, this whole thing was not planned out well.

But I am not going to get mad about it!

Not to mention that if they did that, people in the 10C would complain that it wasn't fair who got chosen to be upgraded.

If they had just waited to assign seats until the end like they’ve always done, this wouldn’t be an issue.

I think this is separate from that. This kind of release has always been distinct from the standard 10C ticket sale - only this time fan club members are getting first dibs rather than the general public.

Well, I was thinking that if they waited until the end they would have had those seats in the pool, but you’re probably right.
