"Misery Business" has a few instrumental touches that I really like-- the castanets in the verses and the Spanish guitar leading up to the chorus. But yeah, come on, this one is "Hitchin' a Ride", which is a really cool fucking song that freaked me out when I first heard it as a kid.

I don't think I've ever heard HAR and it doesn't sound very exciting from the little I sampled, but it's sure better than that fucking Paramore song. What a godawful band.

Imagine that you were a big fan of Paramore, and you heard that there's a new album coming out and you were so excited, and then the day arrived and you took the album home and it was filled with songs like Misery Business. And then imagined that you LOVED that song.
Hard to believe there's real people out there that would claim this story as their own.

Re: Misery Business vs. Hitchin' a Ride
Do people not like Misery Business? I thought it was one of their most popular songs, and it's a really good one.
Hitchin a Ride is pretty good too, but Im surprised everybody loves it and hated all the other greenday songs in the tournament which are also really good.

The only Green Day songs that have been eliminated so far are from American Idiot (though "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" did advance because it was matched against a terrible Dashboard Confessional song)mikejasond wrote:Do people not like Misery Business? Re: Misery Business vs. Hitchin' a Ride
Unlike a lot of people here, I don't hate Paramore, and I like Misery Business. But I think Hitching a Ride is one of the more interesting things Green Day has done. Gotta vote for them here.
