Re: The Simpsons
Homer had a great line tonight. They were flashing back to Lisa's infancy, and he had to get out of bed to get her in the morning.
"I have a hard time understanding how something that came out of you has become my responsibility."

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: The Simpsons
That's a real dumb line and sounds nothing like Homer. Current Simpsons is so terrible.

Re: The Simpsons
Last night's New Orleans episode was pretty good. And it got some good digs in on Gainesville, Fla too.
The record breaker is on next week.

Re: The Simpsons
A quick little throwaway joke that gets me every time is in Black Widower, when Sideshow Bob says that Homer is forgetting the first two noble truths of the Buddha and Homer indignantly replies "I am not!". (22:18 in the above video)

Season 3 is a huge leap above the seasons before it, but it's not quite at the level of 4-7.

Re: The Simpsons
I can buy that, I've always considered (parts of) season 2 through season 7 (minus a few episodes) their golden era, as I think 75% of Simpsons fans seem to do).bart wrote:Season 3 is a huge leap above the seasons before it, but it's not quite at the level of 4-7.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Hahaha there is going to be a demonstration in support of Apu in Buenos Aires
The Simpsons are massively popular in Argentina, I think possibly even more popular than in the States right now
