I do legitimately miss midwestern tornado-laden thunderstorms tho. Might be the only thing in that part of the world I miss, besides people’s deep tissue preference for not talking to each other rather than pretending to be good friends with whoever is in the coffee room at the same time they are.

Agreed. When we were in Kansas this summer we were bummed that even though a thunderstorm was forecast for every day, they just turned out to be hot and muggy until the night before we left. Wow, that was a good one.

It was hilarious too because the KC airport was sending flights straight into it for some reason so you'd see the airplane take off and immediately make a hard left to steer away from the approaching storm.

I was always so disappointed when the hurricanes turned at the last minute to avoid us, or was downgraded to a stupid worthless tropical storm.
