My kid's cross country meet this afternoon was cancelled due to the danger of severe weather.



They've also cancelled school tomorrow and Friday for a hurricane making landfall 200 miles from here on Saturday. I have no idea why people here lose their shit so easy.

Boy, the media really wants a major catastrophe and you can see it in full force every time a hurricane forms now. Not surprisingly, Florence has now been downgraded from THE WORST STORM EVER TO HIT THE EASTERN SEABOARD IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE to a Category 2. Poor Chris Cuomo and Anderson Cooper, I bet they had their flights booked and everything.
