The most common argument I've heard is "man, if they investigate everything I did in my teens..." If that's what you think then, uh, maybe you're a shitheel? It's a piss-poor argument.

Re: The Supreme Court
Whitehouse has a good point about how the truth has a way of eventually coming out on these things. even if BK gets the vote he is not out of the woods.
i wonder if the GOP's dark money sponsors right now are engineering a believable 'accident' for sole eyewitness and would be co-defendant Mr. Judge
seems like Kavanaugh has assaulted other people too though so maybe Judge not as important
what is the statue of limitations on this stuff? is the 1998 one still in scope?
maybe he gets Cosbey-ed ultimately and has to leave the court

Re: The Supreme Court
you know that is a reference to the Russians who just rigged the US elections and poisoned a former spy?
not as far fetched as you might think with Billions of dollars and control of the planet at stake
not my keynote issue but if I were on their side I would consider it a plus if he were found having relapsed and drank himself to death
maybe some prostitute meets him somewhere and causes him to relapse

Re: The Supreme Court
again it's moot because BK demonstrated yesterday that he is subject to rape rage so odds of him having done something like this within the last 10 years or so seem higher imo than would have otherwise thought
maybe he assaulted someone's clerk

Re: The Supreme Court
I might agree with you if his answers were, "I was a kid who drank a lot and occasionally got into trouble. I don't remember this happening. I certainly don't think I was the type of person who would do this, but if I'm wrong, I'm very sorry for any trauma I've caused this woman, but I am a very different person today."Anders wrote:Politically I disagree with Kavanaugh on most key issues. Nevertheless, I worry about how a claim that he did something decades ago, as a 17 year old, suddenly pops up for the first time, as he is trying to get a position in The Supreme Court. It seems politically motivated, and therefore rings false in my ears.
... and not, "You fuckers are part of a cabal trying to destroy me and ruin my family. Democrats can go to hell, I'm going to eat you all!"
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

They had to sideline the outside prosecutor they selected, because Kav almost immediately put her in the position of being professionally required to point out that he lied.bune wrote:OK, what does this actually mean though.McParadigm wrote:Yeah, this guy is gonna do fine under investigation.

Re: The Supreme Court
This is your daily reminder that there isn't a shred of proof to back up any of these claims, most of the allegations aren't credible in the slightest, belief of guilt based on accusation alone is morally repugnant, and political showmanship and gamesmanship are rife in both parties.
