I've been staying away from the news recently so you'll have to fill me in, but I've got assume it's either misinformation about Trump or MH370.

I assume he’s talking about Lanny Davis, who was an unnamed source for a story claiming that Cohen was prepared and able to testify that Trump knew in advance about the Trump Tower meeting. He gave that information (again, unnamed) and then almost immediately went on tv and refuted his own claims, under the guise of doubting the “unnamed source.”

However, I’m not sure how this is a CNN fuck up. Lanny is the one caught in a lie, and exactly which of his statements is a lie is unclear. The CNN story had other sources beyond just him, and he appears to have realized immediately after revealing Cohen’s knowledge about criminal activities that he had just opened up his client (who had already testified to Congress) to perjury charges. If anything I’d call it a Fox fuck up, since they either can’t interpret the facts as presented or are nakedly smearing the reporting in bad faith by distorting what happened.

So...

As we wind down the ice cream co, I'm looking for work. Some of you know that I've been increasingly involved with local/state politics. I've had designs on doing some sort of audio reporting -- podcast, contributing to a local NPR affiliate, etc -- for a while. Next weekend I'll be driving to Whitefish to attend this event for fringe/deep-state/nationalist types; Amon Bundy's even gonna be there. I'm pretty excited, but also kind of nervous. I'll have a press pass, and have been in touch with the local NPR station about possibly having them run the piece once it's finished.

Anybody want to come along and just stand there with sunglasses on, looking menacing and like you will protect me at all costs?
