That aside...lol....is it any good? Or are visuals the only thing you care about?

That isn't mean to sound like an attack....
I’m a half hour in and I’m trying to stick with it, but...it’s all just so dead and miserable. Like so many other faceless indie and arthouse movies right now. Nothing has any pulse. I feel like there are so few successful, straight-ahead movies these days. Everything feels like such a labored statement now. I’m so over it.

What planet do these filmmakers live on where everyone speaks exclusively in austere, measured whispers?

Pretty sure you're the only one to publicly say this

I think Travolta is fucking nuts and i can barely stand his face. I have very little knowledge on Gotti to being with but i feel that Travolta is putting on a good performance here.

Overall though the moving has lost me with boredom.

So it seems tomorrow I'm taking my eldest daughter to go and see the Paw Patrol movie.

Watched "Monster Squad" last night for the first time. It's pretty good for what it tries to be.

I love this movie passionately. Watched it again like a month ago. It’s just perfect.

Watching the extra features before hand. Wow. These made me love this film even more.

Yeah, I saw it was on Prime and decided to make an executive deision to make everyone watch it. A good time was had by all, except for a bit here and there for some light MS3TK ribbing.

The same one that directs television shows. WTF is it with whisper talking lately?

The whispered thing is definitely taught in many film acting circles these days. It's really weird. It's easy to be way too big in film acting and there's a lot to be said for subtlety and closeness, but fuck, that ain't the way.
