Re: NBA Thread
I understand he's under contract, but at this point I'd fucking cut him and not pay him shit.
There's gotta be some reasonable expectation that even a contract employee can't fucking undermine an organization and actively act against its success.

They probably don't need to do something that drastic when the Heat are for some unknown reason probably about to give Minnesota Josh Richardson and more for the right to bring Butler's overrated self to Miami.run2death wrote:I understand he's under contract, but at this point I'd fucking cut him and not pay him shit.

He called a players only meeting to tell everyone he runs the team today. They really need to just call his bluff. He's not going to sit out regular season games.

They're going to for sure if Thibs gets his way. But not as an attempt to call his bluff but because everything Butler did yesterday gave Thibs a raging hard on for this dude who plays high minutes and is an underdog and has heart.verb_to_trust wrote:He called a players only meeting to tell everyone he runs the team today. The Sun Times ran a story today that basically said this is all Mark Wahlbergs fault.

Re: NBA Thread
Jeff Teague said this afternoon that the players only meeting never happened. I’m not sure what to believe, and I don’t care at all. Butler is acting like a spoiled douche bag, but he’s right about the Wolves being a terrible organization and that they have no chance to be successful with Towns and Wiggins being the “superstars” of the team. Towns is a star offensive player, but doesn’t even try on defense most of the time and Wiggins just gets worse every year.verb_to_trust wrote:He called a players only meeting to tell everyone he runs the team today. Townes is the man in Minnesota. Anyone buying Jimmy's narrative on him is dumb. There are players I'd rather have but it's not that long of a list and Jimmy fucking Butler certainly isn't one of them. Bottom line with Jimmy is he wants his mega pay day before his body falls apart.

Re: NBA Thread
I agree Towns is the man. And I think he’ll be a regarded as a Super Star, but he really needs to improve his defense. He’s HOF caliber offensively. And I’d definitely rather have Towns for the long run than Butler. Wiggins HAS to improve in all fascists of his game. And he needs to act like he’s interested in being there. He still has loads of potential, but he has an even higher likelihood of becoming one of the worst max deal players in the league. This year is a big deal for him. I’m interested to see how the rookies do as well. And hoping the Wolves can get a decent return for trading Butler.
