Grievance on Letterman before the Binaural release was mind-blowing.

Was that the one where David Letterman announced they were going to play NAIS or light years, and they played grievance instead? I think I still have it on vhs somewhere.

Don't remember it being announced, but NAIS was the lead single so i think most were expecting that.

They seemed to have a pretty strong allegiance to Fallon. I could see that happening.
Throw in an SNL appearance while you're at it.

it's all fairly predictable isn't it?

Imagine if they did some sort of special with Oprah to spice things up and the reactions it would produce here for years to follow

If it's a case of a nat'l TV appearance and they can only broadcast one song...what or will should that be?

My guess is that they'd stay away from Our Future Days and go with LB.

Doesn't matter, they play all of their songs at breakneck speed live anyway.

You can either maximize the speed of the performance, or maximize the "injurious to both song and voice" vocal quirks. Either way, we all lose.

I never really got why people complained about the studio version of Grievance. I love the song and it sounds great on Binaural. It might've sounded neutered at the time, it wasn't as unfettered as live versions, but man... compared to the way PJ neuter stuff in studio now? Sheesh. It's hard rock gold.
