Re: Star Wars : The Mandalorian (Disney Play 2020)
This is all conjecture. The Aftermath books do not state outright that Cobb Vanth has Boba Fett's armor. It's only implied. We don't know what happened to Fett at all. Most people THINK that he died. His armor was recovered and now Cobb Vanth has it. But again, none of that is concrete canon, yet.E.H. Ruddock wrote:also, if Cobb Vanth has Boba's armor, where is Boba?
I hope this series answers those questions officially.

He has a rocket on his back pack a flame thrower and knives all over him.
No fuckin way he died.
One of the biggest missteps of the ot. Such a fucking stupid way to extinguish a character they spent fucking ages and loads of resources setting up and establishing. He was the very first character they used for marketing empire strikes back. So stupid and thoughtless the way they sent him out.

It is, indeed. I don't think we have "star dates" (to reference another franchise) but Ruddo is right. It takes place after RotJ but well before TFA.wease wrote:That’s a lot of ground.E.H. And I know I’m in the minority, but I fucking love Boba Fett. And I hope he does show up in this. Not to take it over or anything, just be in it a bit.
Now, if only they could work in Bossk, too...

Re: Star Wars : The Mandalorian (Disney Play 2020)
One of the podacasts I frequent (ForceCenter, for those who don't know and want to listen, it's amazing) speculated about the idea of a scene where Boba Fett appears without his armor -- like, imagine a canteena scene where The Mandalorian walks in and we see Boba Fett without his armor at the bar, drinking, and he says "I gave that shit up long ago" -- remember, Boba ISN'T actually Mandalorian -- how fucking SWEET would that be?! They could even get the kid who played him in the prequels to do it. I'd be all about that.wease wrote:And I know I’m in the minority, but I fucking love Boba Fett. Fett is an interesting character and I hope we're not done with him in Star Wars lore.

Boba is cash money. I think he’ll turn up in some fashion in this. And I love Joes idea about him being over and done with it all. But if he does it’ll be in passing. I can’t see him being a big feature in this.

If you look at this new Mandolorian armor and compare to to Boba Fett's, even this new Mando changed the color it still isn't the same style of armor. I think it's different.
I'm also fine with Boba Fett staying dead. I prefer the mystery of his 3 minutes of OT time.

Just think, 30 years from now, if this board is still active, there will be a new show coming out called "The First Order Commander" and Rmer's will be bitching about how it better not be Captain Phasma
