You're conflating two separate issues. Was Warren right to claim native ancestry vs. is the media reporting on this slanting positively towards her. Like Chud said, out of those headlines you cited, the only one that sounds like spin is an opinion piece in the "Opinion" section of the Boston Globe. It's possible that there are other news stories that are more overt, but not the ones you posted. The ones that claim "strong heritage" are quoting directly from the test results, and the other one is a simple factual statement.
