There's great audio of Joe Castiglione falling out of his chair during the last out.

The two run homer. /:
which only ties the game, putting the pressure right back on a bullpen that hasn't been able to keep boston off the board the whole series. i have no confidence houston wins that game in extras.

it was a bad call. but walks, HBPs, passed balls, wild pitches, mental mistakes (step on the bag, correa; don't try to stretch a single to a double down by three in the 8th, kemp) are the story, not the HR that wasn't. these last three games are as bad as i've seen houston play all year. also, bregman's shitheel idiocy is tiring.

when your opponent is making mistakes, don't interrupt them. boston hasn't, and that's why they're up 3-1.

Can’t argue with one iota of that. Especially the Bregman part. I liked the direction he was going with his heel turn up to a point, but that train has left the station as of late. Over the years, the Astros have been a team full of nice guys, so it feels good to have guys like him and Yuli for a change...but come on. At least wait until you get to the World Series again before you go into full-on troll mode against a 108 win team, Bregman.

Didn't work for Judge, didn't work for Bregman.

The question becomes, is Mookie leaning into the stands or are the fans leaning into the field? If it's the former, no interference, but if they are indeed leaning into the field of play, it's interference.

Let me introduce you to WBZ's Dan Roche. The most honest sports reporter I know. He loves baseball, and hates hot take sports talk culture. I've never heard this man lie about anything, even when it's convenient. He's in the auxiliary press box with this view, and unequivocally insists the fans were leaning into the field.
I know it's not a picture of the play, but it's a picture of the view. If an honest man with that view says the fans were leaning over, then I'm convinced Joe West got it right.
I'll second the Roche comment - he's as honest as they come. It's a bad break for Houston, but agree they'd be down anyway in this series. Should be fun tonight to see what happens.

I'm surprised more people arnt talking about the Brewers starting pitching games. Announcing / starting Miley so the Dodgers go with a right handed heavy starting lineup, only to have Miley only face one hitter and bring in a right handed pitcher, which was the plan all along. Sure they didn't win the game, but it was an interesting strategy / gamble.

They were talking on the radio that Miley will be the first pitcher since the 30's to start back to back playoff games. Then someone brought up the time Zack Grienke started three straight games as a Brewer. I totally forgot about that. The article mentions the Rays starting Sergio Romo on back to back days.

I actually think what Milwaukee is doing in the playoffs makes more sense than the teams that put starting pitchers into games in the 8th or 9th inning.
