My biggest issue with Mass Effect on PC was that it didn't offer 1980x1024 screen resolution, but apparently that can be edited in the config file. I might have to give it another spin in light of this...

Which has aged very poorly. It's an awkward stage for 3-D games.LoathedVermin72 wrote:......it’s an N64 gametree_ wrote:Ugh. It is so ugly. The grass is painted onto the ground most of the time. The only Gamecube game I still own is the Majora’s Mask/Ocarina of Time double pack.
My Gamecube broke over a decade ago.

Okay if I really need to defend my SOTC PS4 pick I will after work.
Jorge said it’s actually my turn again, so I’m gonna go with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 - PS2, 2001 because he already took THPS2.

Got about 4 hours in and wasn't feeling it. This was after ME2 had come out, which I had played the demo of. All I could think about was how much better ME2 looked and felt.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Wait, have you never played it through?Ello Sailor wrote:My biggest issue with Mass Effect on PC was that it didn't offer 1980x1024 screen resolution, but apparently that can be edited in the config file. I don't even know what Mass Effect is. Not even interested enough to google it.

This is absolutely correct.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Games are more than just tech. A more apt comparison would be to music or movies, in which case my answer would be yes. Super Mario 64's worlds look empty and blocky now but they were a revelation at the time. Very few pieces of art gave me the same amount of joy as running around as Mario in a 3D plane for the first time.

Re: Video Game Tournament Draft: Platy's Pick!
I agree that AT THE TIME it was amazing. But it hasn't aged well. I'd play Mario Odyssey over Mario 64 every time. But I'd play Mario 3 over Mario Odyssey at least half the time.Monkey_Driven wrote:This is absolutely correct.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Games are more than just tech.
