NHL '96 had a bug that could reset your game data, which was ridiculously frustrating. I never owned '95, just played at friends' houses, and while '96 was faster and deeper, the leaps and bounds '95 made to making you feel like you were part of the game were revelatory.

To me? Bloodborne, and it's not particularly close.

They bounce back and forth between fair difficult and FML difficult. Bloodborne has a faster pace, tons of atmosphere, and far fewer load-out options. Leveling up and managing your inventory are simpler. There are also fewer weapon options.
