Round 8: Panzer Dragoon Saga (Saturn). On the very short list of greatest game ever made. Too bad it was released in very limited quantities during the last days of a console that thoroughly lost its console war versus PS1. I realize no on RM has played this. Spend a minute a Google it for me. The value pick of value picks.
Bo Jackson only played one sport. Baseball. For the Kansas City Royals. He was amazing.

I had never heard of / played this game before, but read a good article about it earlier this year: https://www.theringer.com/2018/1/29/169 ... asterpiece

Zwei and Orta are also excellent entries in the series. One of the strongest franchises of all time. It's frustrating that the franchise was completely abandoned.

If Orta is available for download on PS4 or X1, I highly recommend it. The best on-rail-shooter ever.

Didn't think anyone would take Tecmo Bowl. I was saving it.

I wasn't gonna take it. But then we expanded to 10 picks and I was going to take it next.

Alright, I was planning on this being my controversial final pick, but then we expanded to 10.

Super Mario Maker (Wii U)

I contemplated drafting it just to grab Chud's vote for a Chud of Fire and Ice.

I know you're making fun of me but it's so true. You're seriously going to tell me that Tecmo Bowl is better than any Madden, 2K, NFL Blitz, or QB Club game? Too much nostalgia going on.

Yeah but not always. This is a purely nostalgic one. The game is crap.

Tecmo Bowl was originally an arcade game.

I think you're maybe discounting that not everyone is going to be voting on "the best games." I know that I'm going to be looking at teams and thinking things through using a matrix that includes the fun I had playing a game (if I played it), nostalgia, the game's influence, and the way a game broke new ground. Whether or not a game is blocky doesn't really play into this.

On the other hand, if you want to vote primarily on graphics or look and feel, that's perfectly fine, I'm not mad at you.
