Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

sort of sick of the animal masks trope, it’s become so common lately

i may or may not watch this. it definitely looks good, and much better than the original, but it’s always been the one King story that was too upsetting for me

Disney are rebooting Pirates of the Caribbean

yay

seriously though..remaking their own movies...lion king..jungle book...aladdin..mary poppins..

have they any idea of how creatively bankrupt they look?
its like a band going rerecording their 3 good albums and on going on tour trading on it 25 years after they made them..
