Well, I'm not sure if you read my post, but I argued up there ^ that the only thing separating Backspacer from any other albums was production. Apart from maybe The Fixer, any of those songs if produced differently could've been on Yield or even Binaural (or any of your favourite PJ albums). Same goes with LB. I think the best indication we have that LB won't sound like Backspacer is MYM's totally different guitar tone. It's more aggressive, and little bits of LB sound more 'messy' on guitar than UK.

Really? At least Where's The Sponge? is funny right off the bat. I'm not worried about the tone of it, I have some clue. On the title alone, I was worried that "Johnny Guitar" could sound like Dire Straits.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:and where's the sponge is a little bit more difficult to accept then johnny guitar IMOharmless wrote:But also, me too. I think it'll be a whimsical, silly song that doesn't mean a lot, possibly a silly interlude. But that doesn't mean it can't be good. The last time they did a weird track like that, it was red dot, which wasn't my favourite but it did add something humorous and colourful to Yield.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:its just really hard to imagine it being something good, but at the same time most all of us had the same opinion of MYM i thinkLounge Lizard wrote:I'll point fingers and laugh at you if it turns out the second best song on the recordDr. Van Nostrand wrote:and where's the sponge is a little bit more difficult to accept then johnny guitar IMOharmless wrote:But also, me too.
