Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I think my favorite part of RDR2 is it doesn't insult its audience, in a way I haven't seen before in a video game. It rewards patience and the desire to explore EVERYTHING. I can see how it bores some people... but those people deserve it.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I'm against this in theory, the way you put it... but it works in this game. The attention to details is everywhere which makes even tedious tasks immersive experiences.tragabigzanda wrote:Alt take: No one deserves to have to shop at a general store the way this game makes you do it.tree_ wrote:I think my favorite part of RDR2 is it doesn't insult its audience, in a way I haven't seen before in a video game. If you need supplies or want new clothes. I've only had to do this once, to buy oil to clean my weapons, in like 8 hrs of play time. It took like 3 minutes.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Catalog shopping? This game sounds horrible

The game is slow and purposeful. It is also not for everyone, especially those looking for Cowboy GTA.

No... it's for everyone. If you're not the kind of gamer this game needs you to be, it will teach you and you will be thankful.Monkey_Driven wrote:The game is slow and purposeful. It is also not for everyone, especially those looking for Cowboy GTA.

I just don't understand how anyone could possibly not enjoy this game. There's something for everyone.

People like to shit on games they haven't played. It's an integral part of discussing games on the internet.tree_ wrote:I just don't understand how anyone could possibly not enjoy this game. There's something for everyone.

This isn't subjective like a work of abstract art. If you like video games you should at least appreciate, if not enjoy the hell out of, almost everything about this game.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Assuming that everyone likes what you like is just as bad

Well you said everyone would enjoy it. I can appreciate it without enjoying it though. And I'm pretty sure it is subjective. I'm pretty sure tree from the internet isn't the end all be all of video game opinions.tree_ wrote:This isn't subjective like a work of abstract art. Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
No it’s not. It’s an objectively incorrect assertion.
