Joe Mauer if he’d played his whole career in Boston?

Phenomenal peak. I don't know about the longevity though.

I'd say Rangers. Not being a homer. He has had a few of his best years, ALDS MVP and was a strike away (in two different innings) from a ring in Texas.
Well - gotta be Rangers I guess.

The players used to be able to choose what they wore until Wade Boggs tried to sell the cap he would wear in his final contract with the Devil Rays.

The committee that voted in Baines included Reinsdorf and Larussa. Also Pat Gillick, his former GM in Baltimore.

Baines averaged 17.5 HRs and 74 RBI per season, FOREVER. He was a solid and remarkably consistent hitter for 22 freaking years. His counting numbers are solely based on longevity which was only possible because he was a career DH. That’s a good hitter, not a great one, with zero defensive value. Possibly the least deserving player selected for the HOF.

There is going to be more of this type of thing from the Today's Game Committee. Reinsdorf rammed this one through. Former players are also on this committee.
