I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

So. Fucking. Good.

It was my #1 for a long time. Then I saw Barton Fink and my whole world exploded.

Why?
Because he and i have struggled to connect, but we both love the coens, and it turns out we both dislike the same coen movies. it makes me feel closer to him.
It's just kind of a miserable trudge with a lot of aggressively mediocre performances of pretty, boring (and pretty boring) music. I've only watched it once, but I was soooo booooooored

I did actually just listen to it at 2.3x and it isn't that bad. I say relatively smart things. And I feel like if it had outro music like the new episode, the ending wouldn't even be that awkward. Who convinced me that it was terrible? That wasn't nice.

I just read the old thread and it turns out that the answer to my question about who convinced me it was terrible is literally all of you. yikes
