Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I'm still farting around, think I'm near the end of Chapter 2. On weeknights when I do have a chance to play I usually only have time for some quick hunting or something random....last night, I went the far West part of the Grizzlies to nab the wild white Arabian Horse. I've really fallen in love with this game and my venture to grab this horse fortified that. On my trek from Horseshoe to Lake Isabella (where the white Arabian resides), I was accosted by some O'Driscoll's, ran into a dude crying for help only to find it was a set up (so I killed them all via Dead Eye), found a man in the Dakota River doing some form of seance, had a scuffle with a pack of wolves while trying to tame my new horse, and got caught in a massive blizzard in the middle of the night on my way back down the mountains, with more wolves and wildlife bellowing all around me (on surround sound speakers).
If I were to make that same trek again, the entire endeavor could be uneventful....or I could run into something even more terrifying. That distinct feeling of uncertainty as you travel through the wild is quickly becoming one of my favorite aspects of this game--you kind of got that feeling from the first RDR, but it's like x100 in this one. I find my thinking about this game A LOT now when I'm not playing and that's truly the mark of a 'special' game.

I'm still on chapter 3.
Something you should not take for granted is all the details such as sound of riding horses on grass pavement in between etc... Everything...

The optional fishing scene with Dutch and Hosea at the start of Chapter 3 was the type of quiet moment that games really lack. I didn't want it to end.

Too new, I think. I saw a leaked Best Buy ad and it was full price, but you got a collapsible shot glass with it.i got bugs wrote:Any shot this could go on sale black Fri or too new??

Very doubtful. Rockstar games usually stay full price for awhile, especially with online not even out yet.i got bugs wrote:Any shot this could go on sale black Fri or too new??

I'm more interested in the Playstation Store sales. They've been just as good, if not better, than the big box retailers the past few years. Some deeper cuts too.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah, the BF ads are already out. Not on sale.

Yes, I do. It really depends on the game for me. I really miss thick manuals with physical releases. Most games now don't even have manuals.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah but you know how I am about physical mediaMonkey_Driven wrote:I'm more interested in the Playstation Store sales. The only game I’m planning to buy on BF is the Burnout Paradise remaster. Everything else is movies.
