I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I really liked the first two episodes. My wife and I like to end our day with an episode of comfort TV.

Been going through ST: TNG with our son. He's enjoying it but man it's a weird show now. Started season two the other day and they just suddenly have a new doctor, it's not really explained except by some expository dialogue. I saw something that said the new doc is supposed to be Bones to Data's Spock and I see it. Except she goes for the jugular - what do you mean you have hurt feelings? Aren't you a machine? - and there's none of the love that was there with Bones & Spock. Maybe it gets better.

Also it's one of those shows where I thought I was a regular watched...apparently I missed most of the episodes or only really remember the good ones.

Cheers might be comfort tv, but there’s a lot of depth and sincerity there too. Maybe the perfect sitcom.

Loved the first episode of The Haunting of Hill House. Mike Flanagan is the best.

Somehow fate has seen fit to give me a new season of MST3K in the year 2018...on a Thursday I have off and a date where everybody else has bullshit to do, right after a magnificent election and an obscene raise, in a state where marijuana is legal.

I’ve actually been making my way thru these slowly via Netflix. There’s a few I haven’t seen so far and most of them have little tag scenes at the end that were never shown in syndication.

It takes forever to get thru a season because each one has like 36 episodes. I’m only on the second season. The first five seasons are examples of the absolute finest television ever produced.

Just started this last night.
:heartbeat:
We’re only a few episodes on, but I’m REALLY liking it so far.
:hooray:

It's so FORKING good!
God, I love Ted Danson.
Wow. The second season is quite a departure so far.
That S1 finale twist is so bonkers. I loved it.
Just started season 3. I admit to getting really excited when Michael was a bartender.

Ok. You were right. I love this show.

Why do people like The Good Place. Kristen Bell is charming and Ted Danson is fantastic, but I am one and a half episodes in and finding it very bland and unfunny. I've heard it gets more interesting as it goes along but so far the brand of humor just feels like Tina Fey Lite.

“Keep watching” is never worth it. Nothing is worth sitting through a bunch of shitty episodes with the promise of MAYBE getting better later. Fuck that. TV shows are too long.

Sometimes it holds true. If I hadn't powered through the crappy first half of Bojack Horseman season 1, I would've missed out on what's now one of my favorite shows.
