I think it’s well possible. That facility knows what it’s doing. The infrastructure is there and the tax breaks.
There’s too many signs pointing to him doing something.
Plus as anyone will tell you there’s no other reason in the world for him to visit Belfast.
This Dan & Dave thing get more and more interesting as we go along.

Yep.
An theyre doing a series of films. Not a trilogy.
I’m 50/50 on whether they’ll be films for the streaming service or cinema or both

And with this whole new blank page are they gonna not do the Star Wars interconnectivity thing or do it full tilt with their ‘new’ part of the universe

Roll on Celebration. It’s gonna be so weird no Star Wars this Christmas

I know, right?!

I'm thought from the beginning that Dan & Dave were doing streaming films, not films for the cinema. But that's just been my hunch, not based on any real facts or knowledge or anything. The idea of "a series of films" leads me to think it'll be streaming films. But I hope we get at least one in cinemas.

I think rm should do something nice for me that day.
Buy me a Kenobi force efx lightsaber or something

Like Obi wan I kept the hope alive in a desert of doubt for what actually feels like twenty years.

I’ll prepare a short speech. Nothing too fancy.

I the streaming service. Is know it’s not all Star Wars but surely they have to have a ton of stuff like series and films lined up for it.
People aren’t gonna subscribe for one short series and all the movies we know on repeat, there’s gotta be more to it right?

Tom Hiddleston and one of the Scarlett johanson or some other marvel actress are both doing series for the marvel branch of it.
He’s doing Loki. That’s top end.

Maybe when Kennedy said they’re planning more stories with Rey and Finn that’s what she meant? For the new channel?

God knows

Don’t. Look back at page one of any of the film announcements. I’m not even there and if I am I’m skeptical.

I’ll be over the moon and that’s all really.

All I wanna see is watching livestream from celebration and the host or kennedy saying ‘we have a surprise for you guys’ everyone losing their shit and we just hear ‘hello there’ and Ewan rocks out and a Kenobi: a Star Wars story title card up on the big screen.

I’m gonna film my reaction to that shit and you’ll watch a grown man cry the happiest tears

Are you kidding!?
It was the worst. I snuck into a press screening day before release. Huge theatre. Only 20 or so journalists. And me. Three or four rows from the front on my own. It’s amazing they a) let me in and b) didn’t cop on when I moved that far down front.

Bawled my eyes out. Especially at the falcon Reveal, (perfect and didn’t see it coming) Han and Chewie reveal (baaaaawling. The boys. Back home). Leia walking off the ship. Hans Death. (Ugly cried. Like really bad. I had no idea). The R2 reveal and wake up. Then Luke. On that mountain.
Laughed my ass off too. Rey. BB-8. Finn. They nailed these new characters and I loved them immediately and still do

Then I came to Rm and squuueeee posted but gave no spoilers :) that was a long day but brilliant experience.

We will never have anything as exciting and fun as the run up to the force awakens ever again. They marketed it perfectly. The teasers and trailers just brilliant at doing their job. Such a positive happy exciting time. We were all pumped. Still love that film too. Sits comfortably among the OT for me when it comes to my favourites.

Next year is the 20th anniversary of the phantom menace.

They’re gonna have a panel at celebration with all the cast there. Laughs memories etc.

The panel will leave the stage except Kathleen Kennedy and Ewan McGregor.

Boom. There’s your Obi wan announcement

¨guys do you have a minute? Ewan and i wanted to talk about a fan, a deranged fan, who has been harassing us about the obi wan movie about 6 years from now. And it keeps doing it....and there is no plan for it you know? We think this guy might hurt himself or someone else because of it, but there is just no plan of doing a movie or series or anything with the character, please. Stop it.¨

so what are you looking in a Kenobi movie or series? What exactly do you want to see?

Post clone wars hiding, possibly thwarting sith hunters that find his hiding spots?

Anything near ANH would just be him being a hermit. Sounds boring.

I would love to fill in more information/story/mythology about the 17 (or so) years that he was in hiding -- the time between Sith and ANH. Dude wasn't just jerkin' it in the desert for two decades.

What could possibly be in his spank bank? Dying Padme? The one time Camie bent over a speeder to change power converters and he saw the top of her thong?
