That was an unmitigated disaster for the White House.

Not a single word from Pence as his boss was going down in flames. Nothing. I think the last remaining people who really had his back are on their way out the door and today was a trailer for what's to come.

Forget Mueller, forget illegal payments, forget all that shit. Trump's always been a quitter when the going gets rough, and I don't expect anything to change. He'll keep playing the part of the President on The Apprentice: White House Edition as long as that re-election campaign is rolling in the $$ or until voters jettison him into the "dumpster fire" section of the history books. That is if his legal indiscretions don't force him out first, but even then he's not leaving without either a fight or a pardon.

Republican leadership is closing up shop in the senate on Monday and Tuesday, leaving just 3 days for a budget agreement to be reached and voted on.

Looking forward to their efforts to blame obstructionist democrats for the shutdown when it happens.

What I don't quite get is - having watched that exchange, and then looked at Twitter.....how does the pro-Trump side think that the president owned that debate?
Also had to laugh a little at some of them talking about Pelosi and Schumer being disrespectful to the office of the President.

1) So much “mansplaining” from Individual-1 directed at Pelosi. Should not aid in the GOP’s current ‘woman’ problem

2) If Pelosi were GOP she would be hailed as the genteel queen of olden day civilized america, based on that exchange. Instead since she is Blue team she will continue to be maligned by so-called ‘Conservatives’

5) Chuck Schumer is a deft politician for getting Individual-1 to take the bait and F himself in front of the cameras. Although generally not a challenging exercise, he saw the opportunity and got him to bite

6) Inevitably there will be a day so bad because of washington inadequacy that markets shit their pants for real. And when that happens its gonna be really scary
