Rey as an angel that can do no wrong, would be the wrong way to end this. So they need to come up with something really clever, probably involving Kylo.

She’s not an angel. She’s just good and has empathy. They’ve already shown her being borderline darkside and going the wrong way,
Standing over kylo considering killing him and then Again the same standing over luke in TLJ after beating him up. Also rejecting kylos plea to join him.
That’s two films.

They’ve covered it. the final act isn’t the place to suddenly do it again. By no means whatsoever.

The interesting thing can only really be him sacrificing himself to save her. That’s your payoff moment.

No, that’s too Disney. Boring. And standing over? That’s nothing.

I hope they join hands and skip. Maybe even have a picnic on a grassy hill by a waterfall.

Exactly. It’s all echoes and rhymes.

Or would do if JJ wasn’t at the helm

No he’s mr leave the thing dangling and never address it again.

To. E fair he’s never come back to wrap anything up so it could go either way

Kevin smiths femarks about his set visit and the being stuff from all three trilogies involved, gives me hope.
And JJ has said this is a conclusion to it all and wrapping it up.
I want that. Please no dangling mystery box bullshit

I have 0 expectation or desire on how i want it to be wrapped up.

I guess I lied.....I just want the movie to be good. To be exciting. Something different and surprising.

Smith also said there’s a huge WTF mind blower in a Star Wars sense.

I hope he means the whole thing but he seemed to be referring to something very in particular

It’s gonna be awesome B. We’ve broken the one year barrier at last :)

Whatever you think of the prequels or the sequels, there is no doubt that the sequels have a lot of the prequels in them.

No dangling mystery box bullshit... agreed!

Canto bight felt 100% prequels. I can see the good intention though we all agree it was a better idea on paper than it transpired on film.

JJ will be far more tangible in his use of prequel /ot stuff. It won’t be tone or intent. It’ll be physical artefacts like ships and characters.
