I've been making manual saves every few hours to avoid this very scenario.

I already caught some key story points I didn't catch last time around... I guess I was too distracted by the visuals... Gonna get alot out of a replay through

Yeah I'm going the manual save route too after every mission so I can do many of the side quests as well since I've read many of them are 'time-sensitive', which leads me to believe this game may end the way I don't want it to end! Anyway, i'm trying to play as honorable as possible, but I fully intend to replay the game less honorably and pay closer attention to the beginning chapters. Early on I, too, was too distracted by the visuals and performances and think I missed a lot of good tidbits and such.

Perhaps it's just my lack of ability to pay proper attention, but so far it seems that this game was made to be played the second time ... Enjoying it 4X more .. and I loved it before already

I'm guessing it was due to the lack of attention.

This game is way too slow paced to be played again.

Have you played a single player game with cinematics before?

I started a second play the other day and I’m getting a lot more out of it too. It’s not that I missed things, it’s that there is such a massive exposition dump in the initial hours of the game about all the characters and gang history that you just don’t retain it all.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed fishing in a video game until now. There's something so serene about it.

Of course. I'm a completionist when it comes to games like Zelda and Mario.

I really don't want this game to end.
Spoiler: show
Just played the mission/scene with Arthur and the nun at the train station. I'm still thinking about it this morning. Can't say that about many gaming cutscenes.

just watched naked jakes video on how the game doesn't give you enough options for a large portion of the game and i kind of agree... there's an illusion of freedom that's pretty satisfactory, though.. and you have to think that it would take even more work than they already put into the game to give you more freedom...

he hates hand holding in these games.. like.. follow yellow line, go here.. go out of bounds? MISSION FAIL... i don't mind cause the details are so gorgeous and fun to experience but he's right that it loses replay value...
