i realize this is in the wake of a broader century of 'western' tampering in the middle east

but seriously

how much more money should we waste on war to 'stabilize' the middle east? it's been a couple Trillion by now probably. and the best bet we ever get is someone like Saddam who is secular but a lunatic.

let Shiites rule Shiite majorities and become Russian client states
