Ugh, Dave A... come back.
As far as the songs go, tracks 2 and 3 I liked quite a lot. I didn't get the saxophone in 2 though :/

Some French coldwavedarkgazepostpunk one-man band named Jessica 93. Save this one for goth-themed parties.

I didn't get it when it came out but man is this a gorgeous album. I'm looking forward to the reissue something fierce.

Re: Now Playing
Though the music obviously sounds very dissimilar, I hear a lot of Jimmy Page in his playing -- his tunings, his harmonies, his voicings. There's one song on the new album (the acoustic one right after "Portrait of Sarah") that really reminds me of "Rain Song," and another one on the first album made me think of "Friends" (the Zeppelin tune, not the TV show). Other than remembering seeing some of their records as they got released, I know nothing about Lambchop -- any recommendations?super nintendo chalmers wrote:Kevin Davis wrote:

Re: Now Playing
Check out Nixon and Is A Woman. Nixon has a real Curtis Mayfield feel to it and he does his falcetto a fair bit but it's their most accessible.Kevin Davis wrote:Other than remembering seeing some of their records as they got released, I know nothing about Lambchop -- any recommendations?
This got some radio play
This has those amazing vocals.
Is A Woman is really chilled and a beautiful listen. The pianist really shines on this one.
This is also one of my favourite video clips ever.
