Right but you can't take credit for calling it when you call it every week!

I’m always right though :haha:

Well. Except Kenobi
Eventually that'll happen, and you'll claim to have been the one human who predicted it.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

John Boyega Confirms Period of Time Between The Last Jedi and Episode IX

Unlike the events of The Last Jedi where the story picks up right after the conclusion of The Force Awakens, a certain period of time will have elapsed before the action in Episode IX gets underway on screen. John Boyega, via Empire’s new 2019 Preview issue, reveals that Episode IX takes place about one year after the events of TLJ in the official Star Wars timeline. This detail comes from page 82 of Empire’s issue (click the image below for a closer look) which was brought to our attention via this tweet from @starwarstuff.

Not much is currently known about the final film in the Skywalker saga as Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams have kept Episode IX details under wraps, but at least we now have this little nugget of information.

Sounds good. I think there could have been even more time passing between the sequels, but ten years now would probably have felt weird, after the non-existant time between the first two, and the small scope of TLJ.

Yep. ESB is three years after first movie and ROTJ is only a year after that.

It's kinda weird to close out the Skywalker Saga with the three main characters dead.

Leias not dead. Fairly sure she’ll survive IX. It would be far too much to kill her in this.

It would have been better to kill her in TLJ, and Luke at the end of IX.

Yoda had a whole spiel about not mourning those who have passed. Celebrate them. They’re the lucky ones and one with the force.

That sounds like something you would say to comfort someone that is sad. But not really relevant to how they make the movies.
