Can’t remember the last time I got a Deep Magazine in the post with real content. Last one was filled with logos/posters.Mr.x wrote:Many years ago I didn't get my copy for that particular year. I emailed the 10c asking if they could send a copy out. They said sure, but it would take up to 6 months to arrive. I thought it was odd that it would take that long to drop a little book in an envelope, smack some stamps on it and put it in the mail.B wrote:Will I still get my copy of Deep magazine?
It never arrived.

Re: R.I.P. Ten Club Singles (1991-2018)
My renewal date is the 1st. I see no reason to stick with Analog at this point.
I feel like they'll probably restructure/reprice this stuff, but they probably won't before the 1st.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Interesting, normal 10C behavior would be to just stop sending them and never acknowledge it.

Re: R.I.P. Ten Club Singles (1991-2018)
I've long since lost track of the years, but at some point everyone got the magazine, right? I have quite a few on this bookshelf next to me but lack the energy to stand up. I do seem to remember one that included recipes. I can't remember the year that they split things up into digital and analog. There was a shitty shirt that said "I am analog" that was two sizes too small.
UPDATE:
I stood up. The last one I have was from 2015. That doesn't seem like that long ago. Although some of them say "winter/spring" and then it just became "All Seasons". There's no chance they did more than one a year?
None of this matters but now I'm interested. I know the annual joke was when the Holiday single came in July. If that.

kind of sad, but these guys are ~60 years old now, and other than No Jeremy / Falling Down, I can't think of one that has mattered in the last ~15 years

Between them outsourcing merch distribution for the rest of the world and this happening, along with ever dwindling membership numbers, probably safe to assume that side of the operation is being trimmed of lot of fat if not being wound down completely.
The newsletters tanked in quality after 2000 as did the quality and variation of the merch. Might see them handing the whole thing over to that company that manages major acts fan clubs&merch operations, Can’t recall the name of it, but they’re huge.

since bierman took overVinylGuy wrote:the ten club has been in decline for what, 10 years now? its a shame they are not doing these anymore, but the band dont release b sides either or a new album.
Its the end of an era for sure, and perhaps the first sign that the band might call it quits soon.

My membership just renewed about a week or two ago. When is the cutoff date for 2018 single? Meaning, can I email to cancel and still get the 2018 single?

Re: R.I.P. Ten Club Singles (1991-2018)
Seems more like the beginning of the end to the 10 Club, rather than Pearl Jam itself. I think, Pearl Jam employs 20+ employees. Some are on the road during tours and in the warehouse otherwise - some are in the warehouse all the time. The band has stated then need to "hit the road" to pay the bills. No 10 Club = less bills = less touring = quasi retirement.
Maybe they'll then have a half-assed fan club by Wonderful Union.

Re: R.I.P. Ten Club Singles (1991-2018)
That dude is such a douche bag. He didn’t care about the fan club, he cares about the prestige, being a one-degree connection to the band, and people sucking up to him. Any time I’ve seen him in person, he’s just relishing in the fact that people know who he is and want to talk to him.VinylGuy wrote:He ruined a very cool thing.
