New Pearl Jam iTunes Store...

Post by Lament »

This seems like pretty big news. All the 2000 & 2003 shows available digitally. Four new vault shows. Wow.

EDIT 1: Actually, it looks like the same four Vault shows, the three from the "Series" and the 12-31-92 one that came with Avocado.

EDIT 2: It's just Europe 2000 and North America 2003.

"Four new titles from the Vault" is a very misleading way for them to describe it, considering it's an email they sent to 10C members...

It's actually just leg one from North America in 2003.

I would be appalled if they released iTunes-exclusive Vault recordings.

Is there a way to download the covers without importing all the bootlegs into iTunes and matching the album titles etc?

Thanks. Is there a trick or some software for ripping these from the iTunes store? ;)

Is the Chicago 2007 Vault show any good? I'm not sure I'd ever seen that before - when did it come out? Was this the PJ20 one?
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

It came out last summer. It's pretty good--great setlist, and surprisingly well-executed for the number of rarities in the show. 2007 being a relatively undocumented year, you can kind of hear that "modern Pearl Jam pall" setting in a little bit (little mannerisms in Eddie's voice, the sort of careless rush through the songs), but it's worth checking out.

There's probably a more automated way out there but I used this method: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=253742

I love that Vic show, the pace and flow is extremely good for a setlist supposedly thrown together.
Best modern-day versions of many tracks :nice:

Regarding these shows, wasn't it always the policy of the band/10C that if the bootlegs weren't for sale on the website that they didn't mind free trading of these? So now that all this stuff is on iTunes, does that mean legally we aren't allowed to trade this stuff anymore?
