Guys, I gotta say, I think our first round picks (so far) have been way better than the last tourney's first round picks.

Re: 2013 tournament II--round 1: tass man
Well I put 4 songs down, so at this point the worst that could happen is that tass man picks on of them, then I pick two of them, then someone else picks the other one, which is probably going to happen anyway... so I'm at peace with my mistake!Varis wrote:Its OK - my lips are sealed.philpritchard wrote:Varis wrote:I do hate the old "Whoops - I meant to pm that, not post it" trick.I figured someone would see it in the 4 seconds it took me to realize what I did.

Re: 2013 tournament II--round 2: tass man
Alright, today is when this was officially supposed to start, so the timer for draft picks starts now.
Tass man has 8 hours to make a pick.
And since this is snake style, if you are near the beginning or end of the round, remember you will be picking twice in a short period of time, so hang around till you can make that second pick, or pm me a couple of choices so i can make the pick for you.
Great first round, and Im looking forward to what gets picked in the 2nd

All concerts, albums, and forum 10-song contests should conclude with All Those Yesterdays...

Re: 2013 tournament II--round 2: farmer john
I find this quite interesting. From the 19 songs picked so far, here is the breakdown:
Yield ('98) - 5 songs
Vitalogy ('94) - 5 songs (4 album + Hard to Imagine)
No Code ('96) - 3 songs
Binaural ('00) - 3 songs (2 album + Sad)
Merkin Ball ('95) - 2 songs
Ten ('91) - 1 song (b-side Wash)
So basically, this group (myself included) thinks that their wheelhouse is '94-'00. I would venture a guess that the casual fan believes that Pearl Jam was strongest between '91-'95, as commercially that's probably the case. The only "outlier" here is Wash, which I always thought was much different than their other music written around the same time.
I'm new to this board. Is this a true representation of how this group/forum feels?

I think you're close. Many here think they peaked with Binaural or Riot Act. My favorite run is No Code - Binaural.ccanad wrote:I find this quite interesting. From the 19 songs picked so far, here is the breakdown:
