i once sat through the mars volta when they opened for system of a down. dreadful. months later, i saw rhcp, and the motherfucking mars volta opened for them as well.

anyway, i'll currently go with that gavin degraw song where he sings, "if you ask me, how i'm doing, i would say i'm doing just fine." the only way i can tolerate it is if i started singing it in gibberish like butthead.

A couple of years ago, a friend asked me to go see Corey Smith with her another friend. This band opened for him, and I immediately thought: "they are so bad, they are going to be rich and famous one day." :shake:

I’m forever near a stereo saying, ‘What the fuck is this garbage?’ And the answer is always the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Frankie Valli - December 1963 (Oh What A Night)

For some reason this obnoxious and horrible song from the 70s made a resurgence at bars during my college years in the 90s.

My ex used to listen to Life of Agony. Two minutes of the guys voice and my day was ruined. If I had to listen to more than two songs, I knew I was looking at around 36 hours of angst, doubt and unfocused rage. It's fucking awful.

Seventeen by Jethro Tull, love the band and tune but it depresses the hell out of me.

The Duke or all of Soup by Blind Melon, total works of art, but so mellonchollie I can never revisit it, it sounds like depression and hard drugs winning the day.

Some band called Milk Music(should have known better!) song called Lacey's Secret. Great guitars, struck a very sad note for me that took a week to fade.

Ballad of John and Yoko, the complete opposite of a silver lining

You Are/Ole/Fixer and the lyrics to j. guitar are painful flaws in the otherwise blessed catalogue

Ron Sexsmith - I actually made a deal to limit my Floyd consumption in trade for hearing less of this awful, soul smothering musician.

In Utero- Another incredible album where the vibe influenced by the wrong kind of drug use, super classic but works against hope sometimes.

Love 200 Bob songs, but no woman no cry is a drag and pretty condescending.

Zero Chance is a really fucked up song for me; i love it, but its just too damn painful.

Pretty much everything that Ben wrote around that time is really, really painful and at the same time, amazing.
