I liked WWS a lot but after hearing "Severed Hand" on SNL I was really jazzed for the Avocado.

Oh and I don't agree the band wasn't fighting on Yield. They were fighting. They were fighting against fighting...
 And on Backspacer they were 'fighting to get it back again'. It's not that they're not fighting, it's just that you think some opponents are more interesting to watch than others. Maybe on Backspacer they were fighting against darkness, and certain hardcore fans who were going to accuse them of selling out.
Fighting against people calling you a sell-out by signing an exclusive album distribution deal with the Target Corporation? Interesting.
Yup. Noting more punk rock then selling your records through many major corporations instead of one
I presume if they signed a deal with a mayor label (and those make Target look like a family business in comparison) again they would get more money compared to deals ala Target and could probably get away with less awkward promotion stuff. I wonder if that would be seen as selling out by their fanbase.

Just curious.
So how would things go after his passing? Do you think the band would find a way to continue on? If so, then how?

Would he step out from behind the drums? Or would he just do both like the great micky dolenz

he would instate a tyrannical control over the band--singing, drumming, guitar, song-writing, liner note design. the only autonomy he'd grant the band would be to allow mike mccready to pursue innumerable inane guitar solos and jeff ament to indulge his proclivities for grade-school-level songs about basketball players.

he is currently working for the Eagle County River sanitation district. I drove by him this morning on the way to work! He's looking a little rough...even for Boom standards.

So all this time, whenever ed was playing his acoustic encores, matt and boom have been hiding in the shadows, plotting

My friend and I were talking last night. He's seen about 50 Pj shows or so from 95 onwards and he was saying how he hates that the gigs have become a celebration vibe.
I would agree that the mood/vibe that used to be there in Pj shows is gone somehow, there used to be all this energy and atmosphere created and based on set lists but now it's gone.
We were wondering how the writing in the new songs will reflect that. Are they gonna be writing from the content/peaceful place they seem to be at?
Will they still try to have something to rail against and how successful will this be if they're all blissed out?

All these questions. October is so far away

Of the Earf screwed again, but interesting news. I also see no Cold Confession or Let It Ride. I wonder if that will stir debate amongst the fans when this thing comes out.
