have you seen entertainment, lv?
The Rick Alverson movie? It’s one of my favorite movies ever made. Can’t recommend it enough.
yeah...i knew nothing about it until yesterday
I think you’d find a lot to relate to in it. You should also watch The Comedy.

Bad Times At El Royale.

Yeah..i mean, i appreciate the effort. I like Goddard. But this one feels like he wanted all the cool pop gimmicks together and forgot to actually make a movie. It has everything, the cool set piece, the rain, the violence, the music, and it just boring. Long and boring...the end is such a drag with Thor doing again a stupid dance in the worst moment of the whole movie.

Boring.

Incredibles 2.

Ugh!

I feel like we get a good Pixar movie about every 4th or 5th movie now.

I struggled through both. Lucy was disappointing, as it had a lot of things going for it. Didn’t expect much from P&G. But that one was worse. Wanted to skip forward in the last half hour.

FYI - it's not based on a true story so keep that in mind.

What an odd remark
Spoiler: show
There were a few articles talking about it having been based on a true story - which it arguably is, depending on how liberal you are with the words "based on a true story" - and that's why. My wife had read those articles and was upset at the end because it was such a Hollywood ending.
So it is an odd remark, I agree.

Also there are some admittedly fantastical turns in the movie that
Spoiler: show
A) made me squirm and B) would have involved the police in a way that wasn't just a polite conversation that ended up with someone covered in blood.

Thank you. I love to read about whether or not movies are true stories. Not joking.

The movie is made in the most beautiful way, and the acting is second to none. Funny as well. Story is a all over the place though, and pulls it down from a top rating. Still got 20 minutes left.
