I just saw that the director made In Bruges. Clearly a very talented guy, look forward to his next movie. Have to repeat that the acting, and the look of the movie, was second to none. Didn’t love the story. Still an entertaining few hours.Anders wrote:Friday dinner and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri now. Hope it’s good.

What did you like about the look? I found it to be completely flat, boilerplate digital photography. No style.Anders wrote:I just saw that the director made In Bruges. I see. I find all those fairly mediocre. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are hilarious in Bad Boys though. Loved that movie when it came out.VinylGuy wrote:I love The Rock and Armageddon. Have not seen The Island.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Watched Adventures in Babysitting and Brigsby Bear last night. It was crazy to me that the credits ended and Bradley fucking hitford walked onto the screen big as life but he didn't rate opening credits. Then at the end they're like "Vincent Phillip D'Onofrio" and that threw me for a loop because I didn't see Vincent Phillip D'Onofrio anywhere in the film. Then the actual end credits start and he's the guy who fixed the car/Thor. I had to rewind and it surprised the hell out of me because he had these long flowing locks and it was hilarious. And Keith Coogan was also in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
Brigsy Bear was amazing for the first fifteen or so minutes until he got to the real world and everyone treated him like it was normal as hell that he was abducted and introduced into society so quickly. King of samey by the end.
