This is a great album. EV's voice still in top form. The band sound heavy and angry. None of the sheen or slickness that came with the next two albums. Their last great album IMO.

I’m on this ship. I had this on in the car the last few days and I still find it to be a fantastic album. Nearly the entire first half is canonical Pearl Jam to me and the second half is also full of gems.

The Spotify mix is the only version of this album that doesn't give me a headache.

Comatose through Big Wave is a hell of a run. Lots of variety in there too.

Cut the first three tracks and S/T extends their damn near perfect 7 album run.

Drop WWS, Gone, and Inside Job. Add Of the Earth. End the album with Wasted Reprise. That would be a phenomenal album.

I'd take off Comatose rather than WWS. And I don't mind Inside Job. But I do love adding Of The Earth.

I ride or die for Life Wasted. I adore that riff.

This would work too. Maybe add Inside Job as another b-side. That song just goes on and on.

The only reason I'd advocate for removing Gone is that I loved it as a special Fan Club single track. I was bummed that it ended up on the album only because it felt special as FC single. Otherwise, though, I adore it.

yeah i liked the demo and i really liked when i first heard the band version. Its a good example on how PJ take a demo and makes it its own thing.
But i think it could work better as a b side and leave that space for Of The Earth, which is a monster really.

Beside that, i love all the album, even songs like Big Wave (the fun song) or Marker (a should have been great but its not song).

Marker, Unemployable, and Parachutes are the standouts to me these days.

I like it enough, i think Matt´s work is stellar, i love ed, love the ending...but its not a song i need to hear. I would say its my least favorite from the album.

So, like half the album?

Army Reserve is good too. Come Back is hit or miss for me.
