I really wanted to meet up with him. The first time he was here I thought it would happen. The second time was such a small window, he was with his dad, and work just got nuts at the last minute. I still feel really badly about it.

I still feel so bad about that. I wanted to have you two over to the house for dinner then take you to Whelans for pints.

That was one of many times that year when the moment I planned anything, a clutch of shit would happen and Fuck up my plans.
