Which Franchise Went Downhill the Most?

Post by LoathedVermin72 »

Like, comparing the quality of the first movie(s) to the last movie(s). Which is the worst ever?

I don’t think it’s possible to top going from Jurassic Park to the Jurassic World movies. I mean good lord.

Going from the Star Wars OT to The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi is also a contender, but Rogue One is a saving grace.

Other than a brief save by Rob Zombie, the halloween franchise pretty much got worse every movie.

I would argue this franchise sucked from the start though

tangent but something I wish Studios and Disney especially would realise is we’re all sick to the back teeth of reboots. Not just Disney though, wherever it happens.

There’s millions of talented struggling writers out there. At least some of them might have brand new ideas and concepts. Give them a shot!

Is that really considered a franchise for what LV is talking about, though? Just a sequel. I assumed he meant more than two.

It’s borderline. You know they’ll make more at some point

There’s a sound argument for the Harry Potter films too but they’re more peaks and valleys. The worst one (chamber of secrets) is followed by the best one (prisoner of Azkaban) and it’s sorta downhill from there.
