The moment with Kylo saying to Rey to build something new....it could have been so cool.

After a considerable amount of time, watching force awakens and last Jedi back to back and stunned. These two flow beautifully into each other and compliment each other so well. I’m over the moon JJ is back for 9. He’s gets Star Wars. Rian is the Kersh who made a beautiful monster well all come to love. JJ is back to land it.
This might well be the new favourite trilogy when it’s done.

The Last Jedi is better than The Force Awakens by a fair amount, but only slightly above Rogue One.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
Here's a scenario:
just like in the movie, Kylo brings Rey to Snoke. Yada yada yada, Kylo kills Snoke. Rey and Kylo face off with the guards.
What happens if the guards kill Kylo and Rey? Do they just nonchalantly wander around looking for Hux and tell him they've killed Kylo and Rey and you're welcome?
Do they go collect unemployment checks?
I never understood this. If I'm guarding the supreme leader and a dark jedi kills him, and he also has a beginning force user as a temp ally, I'm getting the hell out of there.
1. There's no point in facing Kylo/Rey because the leader is gone.
2. They aren't really going to be a match for two Jedi (even though one's a beginner)

Looking forward to trying this next December. I still haven’t seen TLJ a second time.dimejinky99 wrote:After a considerable amount of time, watching force awakens and last Jedi back to back and stunned. Why wait?
Christmas belongs to Star Wars
They really do roll beautifully into one another.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
I actually rewatched both of these over X-mas since there wasn't a new movie. They do flow nicely, but TLJ is a real notch above TFA, which I'd probably drop down a rank or two. TLJ remains my favorite star wars movie, followed by the original. I'm actually a little nervous with JJ coming back since I'm worried he will undo some of the bolder choices in TLJ.

I don’t think he’ll undo much in an obvious sense but probably will find a way to develop on some things to get it where he wants to go.

I'm fine with Luke having a larger role as a force ghost. It's mostly not wanting him to walk back Rey's lineage.

Yeah I feel the parentage has been resolved. But as we said before, you can give her an answer to that without them being anyone of important lineage and without detailing the story.
I’m still not sure if Luke is back for force ghost duties. It could be for flashback montage stuff

Re: Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
in either case I'm okay with it. JJ won't bring him back to life, and I love what they did with his story, and how it ended. So anything that happens afterwards is fine. Luke died as the Luke we wanted, so there won't be anything jarring with a force ghost reappearance, and a flashback would almost certainly be consistent with what we saw in TLJ, or flesh out how we got there

I don’t know how much you’ve been in or not but lots and lots of (dumb) theories saying he’s bringing Luke back to life.
As some weird new force ability.
I’m with you. Perfect ending. Perfect way for him to bow out on his terms.
JJ will never undo that.
What’s the point when he can be even more effective as a ghost?

I really hope they do something with Rey's parents. The story as it is now, doesn't make sense.

Most fan theories are impossibly stupid. I haven't seen any of those, fortunately.
