The Special is a ton of fun and such a wonderfully strange moment in time. And more and more of it is leaking back into official canon. You can hate it all you want. Totally your call. But, I'm telling you, it's so weird and fun and strange and lovely and campy and awesome. It's totally worth your time. Especially if you crack open a brew or two first.

You need something stronger than that. And more than two them.

Solo over TFA? Really? That’s an odd one

I liked Solo, it was a fun movie. I've only seen it once, but will watch it again in the next few weeks. I think it could have been better, but all in all it accomplishes what it set out to do. Rogue One is close to it in my rankings below, but a superior movie.

I have some issues with TFA, the planet killer, Rey's arc, Snoke's story, use of Luke, use of Han Solo. But overall it did leave me hopeful for the future of the franchise, I saw it twice in the cinema, and have seen it twice since.

But the rankings can be confusing. I'd give the first three straight As. I'd give TFA a B. SOLO through TPM a C
