we're trying to do the same..I think I averaged 2 bottles of wine per day and couple whiskies in italy over 2 weeks

Literally did not do it wrong. WE generally had two dinners every night there. Ate like a king day and night. I studied abroad there for 5 months in college and was back for 2 weeks a few years ago.

The food is so good. You walk everywhere. Its so fresh.
