I literally just ordered this movie. It's based on The Hunter by Richard Stark and I'm a huge fan.

back when i still received physical discs from netflix point blank entered the top of my queue and i received the mailing on a thursday however i was leaving the next day to go to cedar point in ohio and i watched the first half hour or so of point blank but i was so hyped about going to cedar point that i couldn't concentrate and turned off point blank i ended up sending point blank back to netflix and never finished the film cedar point was a lot of fun though

Still watching Hostiles.

It’s difficult watching modern westerns without thinking of equal rights and modern values. Seldom is it about getting by, it must also be about the development of human kind. At first this seemed to be just a straight shoot, but as the movie has progressed, it has become more and more infused with modern day values. Often breaking with how characters acted earlier in the movie, without much explanation. The funny thing is that as progressive as it tries to be, it is still inadvertently racist, and all seen from the perspective of the white man. A throwback in those terms, but an intensely 21st century introspective view on the other hand.
