Re: Brexit
my thought was US may have another interest rate increase by then but if an orderly brexit happens sterling prob strengthens significantly so thinking there’s probably little upside left to waiting but who knows

Re: Brexit
I’d check if normal visa / travel arrangements between the states and England still stand but while I’d imagine they’re gonna she unaffected, nobody seems to know. Travel arrangements between the uk and EU countries are about to devolve and possibly be a year or more before it’s sorted but nobody knows what’s happening at this point.
Least of all the uk.

Re: Brexit
Sterling is on the floor right now. In case of a no deal hard brexit it’s going to crash through that floor I reckon. Probably for a long time.

Re: Brexit
Fascinating thread on the Brits and the border and the country as now, them being their own undoing.

Re: Brexit
So the brexit vote is in about an hour in the British parliament.
If it doesn’t pass (it won’t) almost certainly be a general election called soon after it seems.
Cos the situation isn’t fucked up enough.

Re: Brexit
She has three days to come up with a plan b. Vote of no confidence in her being held tomorrow. Anyone’s guess if she can survive that, but she could resign (doubtful) but also labour and Corbyn could fall for a snap election. They could also revoke article 50 and call for a second referendum (they won’t but they really should)
It’s basically a disaster for her almost alone. It’s a massive can of worms exploding out of Pandora’s box. Biggest defeat for a government in their history apparently. She’s been burned by her own party.
Nobody can say for sure what’ll happen. It’s fascinating. Literally a train wreck in slow motion
