It's the "fun" song on the album and doesn't take itself too seriously. Plus, the music is fantastic.
The opening line bugs me. But other than that, I don't think the lyrics are that bad.

I think Comatose has worse lyrics.
If Big Wave, then Supersonic?

I actually enjoy both (prefer Big Wave), but I tend to enjoy the “fun” songs on their albums.
Yeah, Supersonic's fine. I like Big Wave better, too. Though, of all the sort of playful tunes in this vein, my favorite is probably Ole.

Great way of putting it.

I’ve lost all touch with pearl jam. But this my least favourite of their albums most of all.

Is it a different mix of the album on Spotify?

Now I’m intrigued. Cos the harsh ear splitting treble on that record is one of the main reasons I don’t like it.

The spotify mix corrects that in a great way. Specially in songs like Life Waster or WWS. You can hear a lot of things in the background...The work of the band is top notch.

The pedant in me is going to burst if I don't point out the version being referred to is the exact same mix as the original album; it's simply a different mastering (so, "Spotify master" is probably more accurate - and yes, it sounds great.)

The only alternate mix of the album is Brendan O'Brien's remix which was released for the vinyl reissue and sounds just as terrible as the original release albeit in a different way.

Maybe this belongs in the "unpopular Pearl Jam opinions" thread, but I've never really had a problem with how this album sounds...

I hate the Obrien remix so much.

I mean, it doesn't sound great, but if everyone didn't make such a big fuss about it I would never have guessed there was an issue. People say the same thing about Accelerate and I also think that album sounds fine.

Maybe I just don't have an ear for this kind of stuff...

Whey can’t everything sound like no code? Or vitalogy?

And it’s the same producer even!

Bloody Brendan O Brien. Can’t even remember his good settings on a board.
